Hello,
Welcome to my website, This is my main source for showing off my photography to everyone, featuring my favorite works which I have taken from many different locations at many varying times, night, sunrise, sunset, midday and in many weather conditions: Sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, cold and warm. If the conditions are right, and the location usable, I'll be there trying to create my next photograph.
I'm an English, award winning photographer (Calumet 'This is Britain' award) based in the small town of Beverley in East Yorkshire.
I'm completely self taught at photography, doing it for a little under 3 years now. No college tuition or classes. I simply read many books and magazines, I would acquire my skills through experience in the field, seeing what worked, what didn't. I'm still learning and learn something new everytime I'm out on a shoot but that adds to the excitement and sense of achievement I get from photography.
My main passion is landscapes in-which I have had published in magazines and also 2 photos in the British Landscape Photographer of the Year book (edition 5) whilst also having the same 2 photographs on exhibition at the London National Theatre. Capturing an image of a beautiful scene unfolding requires both technical expertise and patience, some would also say a little luck is required, but I say you can make your own luck, afterall, I did turn up at the location at that silly hour in the morning so surely I deserve some luck! That is not always the case though, and there have been many a time I've prepared everything possible, but the scene just hasn't developed into what I had in mind, so if you leave this site with one tip, its that landscape photography, like many other forms of photography, requires patience.
I hope you enjoy looking through my artwork and return one day soon to have another look through and appreciate the beauty of the landscapes surrounding us. You may even decide to purchase one of my pieces.
